Daniela is a multidisciplinary artist and performer, co-funder of Maxei Arts Collective. Clowning is how she makes sense of the random and stupid world.

Dr. LouLou is a clown scientist desperately conducting experiments to discover the ultimate formula for "funny." Her creator, Kayla Burtch, has studied clown with Jesse Buck (Professor Eff), Aitor Basauri, Jaime Mears, Daniel Maseda, John Beale, Kevin Krieger, Ken Hall, Gordon Neill, Isaac Kessler, and Chase Jeffels. She's also the associate producer for Sweet Action's own alternative comedy cabaret Funny Bone, the first Friday of every month except July.

Emily Jeffers is an actor, comedian and Gaulier-trained clown who has performed at Edinburgh Fringe, Toronto Fringe, Toronto Sketchfest, Montreal Sketchfest, the Montreal Clown Festival and Spotlight at Second City. Known for absurd and expressive characters like Bitty-Bat and The Mathemagician, Emily is living out her dream of being a real-life cartoon.

Christine has been clowning around since 2018 in various venues in Toronto, Montreal and Manitoulin Island. Thanks to her clown mentors, John Turner and John Beale.

Hillary Yaas is Toronto's camp comedy queen extraordinaire! Whether it's talking squirrel on her podcast, performing wigprov with Yaas & Vyle, or not quite becoming the Queen of Camp at Camp Wannakiki - she is always wearing some kind of wig. Sometimes two!

Michael is an actor/clown based in Toronto.

Leo Dragonieri is an actor, clown and arts-educator from Toronto. He's channeled his love of clown, mask and collective creation into his show "Piccolo's Pasticcio." Leo is an Associate Artist of Zanni Arte Productions. He works as a Therapeutic Clown Practitioner at Holland Bloorview Children's Rehabilitation Hospital where he helps ease the pain of inpatient clients through levity and joy.

Tiffany Kwan discovered Shishitzu in Professor Eff's clown class at Sweet Action. She is delighted and slightly exhausted to bring her to life.

Anna is an actor from London, now with firm roots in Toronto. After years working in theatre, tv and film, Anna started exploring her clown Stanley Manly as part of Sweet Action's 'Tight 5' and is now working on creating Stanley's solo show. This will be Stanley's first performance 8 and a half months pregnant.

Sue and Siva have been happily clowning around in Jesse Buck's class for the last few months. The class inspired this little fantasy.

TootToot is equally excited and terrified to make her clown debut at Sweet Idiot Showdown. She considers herself to be a very happy, very sweet, and very competitive clown. TootToot would like to thank her friends and family (as well as her good luck stuffed animal, Clown Bear) for their continued support of her shenanigans.

Gordon Neill is the founder of Sweet Action Theatre, Toronto's only clown specialized theatre and the home for the ridiculous. 

As a creator, teacher and performer Gordon has led clown courses such as Brunch (taught alongside Isaac Kessler and Ken Hall) and Silent Musical (taught alongside Clarke Blair).

His diverse performance experience includes a "4-yes" performance on Canada's Got Talent, the award winning show WINNING:Winning and an Oscar win in 2002 (it's a long story).

Kendall Savage is a multi award winning clown specialist and the Founder and former Artistic Director of the Montreal Clown Festival. 

Her 20 year career in clown performance has brought her as a regular to the stages of The New York SlipperRoom, The Elysian Theatre  in L.A California, and soon to be in her 2027 residency in Las Vegas Nevada, with her outrageous 21+ show “Night Shift”. 

This summer Kendall is the invited special guest at The Gothenburg Fringe in Gothenburg Sweden, and will be making her debut in Berlin Germany amongst their cabaret circuit. 

Kendall’s family friendly show “ A Truck Stop Diner. In the Middle of Nowhere. On the Night Shift” will be running at Sweet Action Theatre August 16th, before she leaves for Europe.  

Kendall is thrilled to be performing with Mirv-ish at the 2026 Toronto Fringe.  

Dave ran the Toronto Festival of Clowns for 15 years.  Also, he was a producer of the Lunacy Cabaret that also ran for 15 years with over 200 shows. Toronto Life Magazine described it as "A low-rent punk rock Cirque du Soleil."

Dave directed several clown shows including Primal Broads at the New Ideas Festival and Omie Finds his Way at the Toronto Fringe which was held in a giant geodesic dome on the property of the University of Toronto much to the chagrin of the groundskeepers.

Sketchy the Clown ran for Mayor of Toronto in 2014 up against Rob and then Doug Ford, John Tory, and Olivia Chow.  He did not win.

Sketchy appeared at 100s of cabaret, vaudeville, burlesque and comedy shows.  Winning the Best of the Best Comedy Competition in 2014 and a Harold Award in 2013.  Sketchy was a regular at the Harvest Festival, Mooseman, and the Burning Man Festival where one year he was a host at Super Street Fire - a live action video arcade game where contestants fought using 15' flame effects.

Last year Sketchy donated a few hundred costume pieces to the WTFestival spreading the dank smell of his garage and armpits to performers all across the city.

Robbie MacMillan is a Toronto based clown, producer, writer, and theatre technician. He believes in building community through art, and is passionate about helping others achieve artistic goals. Robbie is the creator of Funny Bone and Open Stage, monthly performances at Sweet Action Theatre. He is also producing Dr. LouLou through his production company iclown, a solo clown show debuting at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer.

Jesse Buck is an award winning 30-year veteran in the world of Clown and physical comedy. He cut his teeth producing DIY Clown and Masked theatre in Ottawa Ontario.

Over 15 years he created more than twenty productions of Absurdist Clown Theatre. He brought these to numerous theatre festivals in Toronto and across Canada. His solo show Bubkus toured extensively in the US and Canada and enjoyed runs in Nanjing, China and St. Petersburg, Russia. As well as his original works Jesse toured for more than five years with Cirque du Soleil performing in multiple projects including one of their flagship productions Alegria.

He completed the two-year program with Master teacher Philippe Gaulier in Paris, as well as many workshops under various international teachers of all kinds of stagecraft.

Jesse has left touring life behind and is engaged in contributing to the vibrant and diverse community of Clown and various types of Idiot comedy in Toronto. He performs and offers his own workshops under the moniker Professor Eff.
